Steven J. Adamczyk is Of Counsel to AJM Institutional Counsel and Strategy and advises colleges, universities, health systems, and related institutions on business, transactional, and operational legal matters.

Adamczyk’s work focuses on the legal frameworks that support large institutional enterprises, including commercial contracting, procurement, research administration, sponsored projects, international collaborations, regulatory compliance, and institutional partnerships. His practice frequently involves structuring agreements and governance arrangements that enable complex organizations to pursue strategic initiatives while navigating layered regulatory environments.

He brings extensive in-house experience within major research universities. Adamczyk previously served as Senior Associate General Counsel at Chapman University, Associate General Counsel at Arizona State University, and Deputy General Counsel at the University of Arizona. Across these roles he advised institutional leadership on matters involving research administration, technology and intellectual property, institutional partnerships, and enterprise-level operational issues supporting large academic and research enterprises.

Earlier in his career, Adamczyk practiced law with Snell & Wilmer LLP and served as a judicial law clerk in both state and federal courts.

He graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law and the New York University School of Business and Public Administration. He is admitted to practice law in California, Arizona, and New Jersey.
